As soon as your baby starts to crawl you'll need a stair gate. They are an essential bit of kit that keeps your baby from climbing the stairs and falling down - you only have to turn your back for a second and they're away out of sight. A stair gate helps you relax knowing they can't get up the stairs.
Having a stair gate at the top also means if they get out of their cot during the night then they won't tumble downstairs.
